A water storage tank holds the water your well makes until the house or the stock trough needs it. Plenty of country around Globe runs this way. A well that makes a little water all day can still fill a tank. The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension calls storage tanks common in rural Arizona.
We install water storage tanks, repair the ones already standing, and plumb them to the well and the house. We set float controls, booster pumps and the black pipeline that runs out to tanks and troughs. The booster pump works alongside a well pressure tank that holds pressure for your fixtures.

The well pump stops feeding the house directly. It fills the tank instead. A float switch inside the tank turns the well pump on at a set level. It shuts the pump off when the tank is full.
The inlet sits high on the tank on purpose. That air gap keeps water from siphoning back down the well. When a tank stops filling, the trouble is usually back at the well. Our well pump repair in Globe page covers that side.
A storage tank does not make house pressure on its own. A booster pump draws from the tank and pushes water to the house. A pressure tank on that side holds the pressure between pump starts. A second float set lower in the tank shuts the booster pump off if the water drops too far.
Steel tanks rust from the inside and the outside. Cooperative Extension guidance notes that rusted spots on the outside often mark very thin metal. Scrubbing hard at that rust can open pinhole leaks. Those get patched by welding, and patching tanks is regular work for us.
A tank is only as good as what it sits on. The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service calls for a firm, level foundation under a storage tank. It also wants a tall tank anchored so wind or livestock cannot tip it. When a stand gives way, we rebuild the stand and reset the tank.
Poly tanks do not rust, but sunlight is their weakness. Translucent poly lets light through, and light feeds algae inside the tank. Warm water in a tank favors scale and algae growth too. Fine sand and silt from the aquifer get pumped right into the tank. That points back at well cleaning and rehabilitation.
Ranch water almost always means pipeline. We lay black HDPE pipe from the well out to storage tanks and troughs. Some of those runs are thousands of feet long. We work this country from Tonto Basin to the San Carlos ranch country east of Globe.
Conservation Service pipeline standards bury pipe deep enough to clear traffic, field work, freezing and soil cracking. Plastic pipe left above ground has to hold up to sunlight. The same standard lists fire among the hazards a pipeline needs protection from. We have replaced burned pipeline to get water back to cattle.
A trough gets a float valve so it stops filling instead of running over. Tanks filled by a windmill or by solar lean on storage to ride out calm, cloudy days. Conservation Service guidance suggests carrying an extra 3 to 5 days of water in that case. Our solar well pump installation and windmill repair work covers the pumping side.

Call or text (928) 961-6641, or send the form. No water, low pressure, short cycling or a tripped breaker all point somewhere.
Depth, age, the pump that is in it, and the ADWR registration number if you have one. Those numbers start with 55, and old paperwork tells us what is down the hole.
The pressure switch, control box, wiring and motor readings get tested at the wellhead before anything is pulled.
You hear what the repair involves and what it will cost before the work starts. Nothing comes out of the well until you say go.
The pump is pulled and repaired or replaced, and the pipe and wire go back right. Then the system is run and checked, and the wellhead is sealed back up.

We service and repair water pumping windmills on ranches around Globe. Gearbox oil, new leathers, sucker rod, drop pipe and tower work are all part of it.
Learn MorePressure switch, control box, wiring and motor readings come before a pump is pulled. A bad switch is a much smaller repair than a pump.
The rig pulls and sets pumps and pipe on shallow wells and deep ones. The fishing tools bring up pumps, pipe and rod that have broken off down the hole.
One company handles the house pump, the stock well, the storage tank, the solar setup and the windmill. The whole water system gets looked at together.
We cover Gila County and the country around it, on ranch roads as well as in town. A home or a herd with no water moves to the front of the schedule.
