Pressure Tanks
We replace waterlogged and failed well pressure tanks, pressure switches, gauges and tank tees. The precharge gets set to your switch so the pump runs long enough on each cycle.

Well pump replacement is the job when a pump is worn out for good. We are based in Globe, and we replace pumps across Gila County and the country about 75 miles around. The electrical side gets tested first, because some calls end as well pump repair instead. When the pump is the problem, we pull it with our own pump hoist rig.
A new pump is more than a pump. We size a submersible pump to the well's depth, the water level and what the well gives steadily. New drop pipe, new wire, a check valve, a torque arrestor and a well seal go down with it. Then the system is tested and the wellhead is sealed back up.

Some pumps quit all at once. Others fade. The pressure drops off, the pump runs longer, or the water comes up with sand in it. A breaker that trips again after the wiring and controls test good usually points at the motor.
Age matters too. Pump suppliers put a household submersible pump somewhere around 8 to 15 years. The 3-wire pumps tend to run at the long end of that. The well decides more than the calendar does, because sand wears the impellers and bearings.
Sometimes the pump is sound and the well is the trouble. Sand and silt fill the bottom of a well over the years. The water level can also drop below where the pump was set. Either one feels like a dying pump at the kitchen faucet, and cleaning a well out is separate work.
Two things drive the sizing: the lift, and the gallons a minute you need. We ask how deep the well is, where the water stands, and how deep the old pump was set. A submersible pump is built in stages, and the stages set how much lift it makes. Horsepower by itself does not tell you whether a pump fits the well.
The well's own record helps. Arizona wells are registered with the Arizona Department of Water Resources, each under a 55 registry number. The driller's log in that file often lists the depth, the casing and the yield when the well was new. Old numbers are not today's numbers, but they give us a start.
Wells around here are not one size. Some along Tonto Creek run under 100 feet. In the high country we work wells past 700 feet deep. Hard rock wells can come in under 5 gallons a minute, so the pump is sized to the well.
Drop pipe carries the water and holds the pump. On domestic wells we use rigid PVC drop pipe with stainless steel couplings instead of black poly. We have fished poly pipe out of wells more than once. Galvanized pipe rusts from the inside, and a hole in it lets water fall back down the well.
New submersible wire and waterproof splices go down with the pipe. A check valve, a torque arrestor and a well seal finish the job. Setting depth matters: too shallow and the pump breaks suction, too deep and it sits in sediment. The pressure switch and pressure tank get checked before the job is done.
Motors come as 2-wire or 3-wire. A 2-wire motor carries its start parts sealed inside, down in the well. A 3-wire motor uses a control box above ground. It holds the start capacitor, the relay and the overloads, so those parts can be tested without pulling the pump.

Call or text (928) 961-6641, or send the form. No water, low pressure, short cycling or a tripped breaker all point somewhere.
Depth, age, the pump that is in it, and the ADWR registration number if you have one. Those numbers start with 55, and old paperwork tells us what is down the hole.
The pressure switch, control box, wiring and motor readings get tested at the wellhead before anything is pulled.
You hear what the repair involves and what it will cost before the work starts. Nothing comes out of the well until you say go.
The pump is pulled and repaired or replaced, and the pipe and wire go back right. Then the system is run and checked, and the wellhead is sealed back up.

We design and install solar well pump systems for ranches, stock wells and off-grid homes. The panels, the controller, the pump and the tank float get sized to your well's depth and your daily gallons.

The rig pulls and sets pumps and pipe on shallow wells and deep ones. The fishing tools bring up pumps, pipe and rod that have broken off down the hole.
One company handles the house pump, the stock well, the storage tank, the solar setup and the windmill. The whole water system gets looked at together.
We cover Gila County and the country around it, on ranch roads as well as in town. A home or a herd with no water moves to the front of the schedule.
